The 21st century is characterised by VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity); by awesome acceleration and change; and obsolescence in knowledge, technology, jobs, and even in traditional leadership. The purpose of education will, therefore, be to prepare children for a future we do not know. This is the Indus vision. The most effective way to make this a reality is to prepare our students to be life entrepreneurs. A life entrepreneur is a person who applies the principles of a startup in one’s personal and work life. Entrepreneurship is not just a business tool. It is a mindset that will help each one of us to.
CEO’s Message – December 2023
‘Academic rigour’ is one of the most misunderstood phrases in education. For the vast majority, it translates into scoring 100/100 in examination. This understanding had relevance in the Industrial Age, and even into the early stages of the Digital Age.
However, in the post-Internet era, academic rigour is redefined from ‘knowledge-about’ to ‘knowledge-to-do’. Rigour is the conceptual understanding of a given topic and its application to solve real-life problems creatively and collectively.
This is what Indus believes in, and its practices are enshrined in an innovation curriculum.
